SALOMON FoodWorld sends food donations to Romania
In view of the terrible pictures from Ukraine, everyone wants to help. The war in Ukraine and the suffering of the people was also a big topic in the SALOMON FoodWorld team. As a result, one employee established contacts in her home country of Romania, where many refugees from Ukraine arrive every day and need to be taken care of.
15,000 meals
SALOMON put together an aid delivery with food that resulted in 15,000 meals, colorfully mixed with crispy schnitzel, meatballs, hamburgers and pretzel buns.
The food was delivered to Suceava in the north-east of Romania, where many Ukrainian refugees arrive. Local trading partner "Marathon Distribution" distributes the goods to the fast-food chain "Spartan," which is already cooking for refugees on site.
As a food service company inspired by the food culture of different parts of the world, Salomon stands for cross-border understanding and friendship and wants to help the refugees as well as support the Romanian helpers with their supplies.
