Climate
Our long-term goal: We want to be completely climate-neutral by 2045.
By continuously investing in sustainable production at our plants, we will be able to make our own production climate-neutral by 2023 and obtain Scope 1 and Scope 2 certification*. In the long term, we want to be climate-neutral in all areas by 2045!
*Scope 1: includes the direct release of climate-damaging gases within the company.
Scope 2: covers the indirect release of climate-damaging gases by energy suppliers.
To this end, we have already initiated and implemented a number of projects:
Lean & Green Award
Thanks to our optimised logistics system, we have been able to reduce our CO2 emissions by 25%. In 2022 we were honoured with the Lean & Green Award from GS1.
Environmental management ISO14001
Introduction of environmental management in accordance with ISO 14001 in 2022 with the objective of certification by 2024.
Constant investment in more sustainable production
For example, by optimising compressed air systems to reduce power consumption by means of new high-energy-efficient compressors with heat recovery. We are also currently evaluating alternatives to TPC (thermal post-combustion) with the aim of reducing gas consumption by 50%
Biodiversity
Bee colonies
We keep and maintain our own bee colonies at our location in Großostheim.
Green spaces
We maintain a large number of green spaces on site, promoting biodiversity in our surroundings.
Insect hotels
We are working on building our own insect hotels on our company premises, creating a home for many living creatures.
